TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
- General MACST Scholarships: Awarded to seniors based on various criteria such as: academics, community and school activities, work experience, and completeness and accuracy of the application. Winners of these scholarships are also eligible for one or more of the Designated Scholarships.
- Designated Scholarships: May be a perpetual or a one-time scholarship. These scholarships are based on criteria determined by the donors.
- Collegiate Scholarships: Awarded to Mifflinburg graduates that have completed at least one year of schooling since graduation. Must be applied within six years of graduation and have at least one semester of education remaining. Applicant did not need to receive a previous MACST scholarship.

Perpetual Scholarships
- VALEDICTORIAN SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to the valedictorian of the senior class.
- SALUTATORIAN SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to the salutatorian of the senior class.
- MIFFLINBURG FFA RECOGNITION SCHOLARSHIPS – Awarded to Mifflinburg FFA member(s) meeting the criteria for a MACST Inc Scholarship with additional input from the FFA Advisors.
- RHODA K. REIDELL-FASANO SCHOLARSHIPS – (1) Awarded to a senior best meeting the criteria for a MACST Inc. Scholarship entering a field of science; (1) Awarded to a senior best meeting the criteria for a MACST Inc. Scholarship entering a field of education.
- THE SPANGLER/TURNER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP(S) – Awarded to a student or students at any Penn State Campus enrolled in the fields of agriculture, engineering, or science.
- KERMIT W. & MARY E. DALE & SONS ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student enrolled in an environmental field or has extensive environmental background through work experiences.
- ROBERT L. MANOTTI SR. WRESTLING SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a senior wrestler best meeting the criteria developed by the Manotti family.
- CHRISTKINDL MARKET COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student that has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to community service.
- GEORGE BURMAN FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student enrolled in a degree program offered at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
- GRIFFITH FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPS – Awarded to two students entering a medical field of study.
- H. RICHARD WARD, M.D. AND DEVIN WARD SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student pursuing a career in the medical, music or performing arts fields requiring a 4-year degree.
- CHARLES “SKEET” REIDELL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student demonstrating excellence in athletics and academics and demonstrates characters of leadership on and off the field.
- HAROLD & HELEN EVANS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to student(s) entering a medical field of study. Separate Application available in the Guidance Office or this website.
- TOD ‘CLEEVER’ STEESE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a Boy or Girl attending 2-4 years credited college that was involved with Basketball, Baseball, or Football. Separate application available in the high school or this website: Short Essay as to What makes this Senior deserving of this Scholarship.
- WAGNER MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a senior participating in Concert Band and/or Choir pursuing a major in the field of music with additional input from the Music Department Staff after the application is received.
- JOSLYN FLICKINGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a female athlete with additional input from the Flickinger Family
- MIFFLINBURG BAND BOOSTERS – Awarded to two Mifflinburg Band members with input from and criteria of the Mifflinburg Band Boosters.
- WATSON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPS – (1) Awarded to a student majoring in a field of business to include accounting, business management or related fields; (1) Awarded to a SUN Tech student in the automotive field that will be continuing their education.
- CLAYTON GESSNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student athlete who is accepting and friendly, outgoing, with a love of music that does not need to be in the band or choir.
- CLAIR W. & JUNE SHIVELY BENSINGER SCHOLARSHIP – A $2,500 scholarship awarded to a senior based on merit and criteria of the MACST Scholarship Selection Committee as outlined by the Keith D. Shively estate.
Special Scholarships
- MACST 4-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to the best application as listed above. It will not be based on GPA or Class rank. The scholarship will automatically be given to the winner for four consecutive years as long as the recipient completes a data sheet each year.
- COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIPS – Applicant must have graduated from the Mifflinburg Area School District within the past six years, have at least one semester of education remaining and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
One Time Scholarships
- BECKLEY SCHOLARSHIPS – Two separate scholarships (one for field hockey and one for softball). Must have competed in the sport for two years, and exemplify: Academic proficiency, Passion and Dedication for the sport, Good Character, Integrity and Attitude, Leadership qualities, Respect for the game, teammates, and opponents. Selected by the Beckey Family with coaching staff input.
